Issue Rationale for bids to be awarded as required per FS 287, DOE 6A-1.01 and School Board Policy

a. Carpentry Construction County-Wide Bid #10-F-204 – Bid established for the purchase of all labor, materials and equipment (if applicable) to perform carpentry construction.  Contract Period:  April 17, 2009 through April 15, 2010.  Thirty Two (32) bids solicited plus listed on our web site for down load, eight (8) bids received and one (1) no bid. The vendors awarded were the three (3) lowest, most responsive qualified licensed contractors meeting specifications.

Award bids as follows:

a. Carpentry Construction County-Wide Bid #10-F-204 - Recommend award to:

        First lowest bidder: Core Construction Company, 4940 Emerson St. #205, Jacksonville, FL 32207

        Second lowest bidder: Piasa Construction, LLC, 1875 Osprey Bluff, Orange Park, FL 32003 

        Third lowest bidder: Quality Construction of N.E. Fla, 2175 Kingsley Ave #315, Orange Park, FL 32073

Projects under $4,999.99; lowest bidder is given first consideration during contract period.  When the lowest bidder is unable to perform services, the next low bidders, based on the order of award below, shall be contacted.

Projects over $4,999.99; A Request for Sealed Quote shall be solicited from all three (3) vendors and the lowest quote meeting specifications will be awarded.
